Living with EDS
About EDS Ease: My Journey to Creating This Space

I'm a mum of two in my 40s, living with EDS. You'll spot content that speaks directly to this demographic - it's simply what I know best 🩷
Why This Website Exists
Living with EDS can feel incredibly isolating. Those challenging days when everything aches, brain fog clouds your thinking, and you're carefully managing your energy just to get through (what I call "treading water") - this website is a welcome lifeline.
It gives me something meaningful to focus on whilst connecting with others who truly understand this experience.
Every post, every shared tip, every moment of connection reminds me that none of us are alone in this.

What started as necessity is now purpose. Now I'm here to share what I've learned, celebrate small wins, and build a community where we support each other through the ups and downs.

Because sometimes the best thing that comes from our struggles is the opportunity to help others through theirs.
About Me
My Story
The Undiagnosed Years
Since being a teenager, I've needed to have a sleep every day. The undiagnosed years were challenging - endless GP visits, tests, physio (including TMJ treatment), but eventually I found answers
Mental Health Matters
Understanding the mental health connections with EDS has been eye-opening. When experiencing:
-
Exhaustion
-
Tremor
-
Needing to retreat
-
Insomnia
Finding healthcare providers who understand EDS and dysautonomia makes all the difference. Working with the right team helps identify suitable medications that support rather than worsen symptoms, creating a positive health management plan.
How I Choose Products
I'm excited to share products that genuinely help:

I'm thrilled to partner with doTERRA, sharing products that have helped my symptoms. Always open to collaborating with other companies if their products truly support our community's wellbeing.

Moving Forward
I'm excited to create social platforms (coming soon!) packed with helpful information for living our best lives. This site lifts my spirits on challenging days - a wonderful reminder to listen to my body, whether that's enjoying gentle yoga, following my pacing plans, or taking on bigger tasks when energy is good.
The Bottom Line
Having the right support, practical knowledge, and good friends makes a real difference. Let's share what works and learn from each other's experiences.
Some of my greatest and most enjoyable achievements - trail running half marathons.
Top tip: Train smart - train strength, flat training runs, and hills. Practice similar runs. Recover well, and listen to your body.
